The Programmes

We run a range of programmes in the UK and overseas. There are waiting lists for UK treatment which vary in length according to the availability of donors but, if treatment is required urgently, our international programmes provide immediate access to suitable donors and treatment can take place within 2-4 months.

The Bridge Programmes are: -

• Bridge International Egg Donation Programme

We believe that this is the most comprehensive and fully-supported international programme available to UK recipients and nearly 50% of participants have become parents.

• Bridge International Egg Sharing Programme

A successful and effective programme, hosted in Crete by a former Bridge fertility specialist, which is producing happy outcomes.

• Bridge UK Egg Donation Programme (with Active Donor Recruitment)

We work hard to find altruistic donors in the UK and you can beat the shortage by taking active steps to find your own donor. We provide support at every stage.

• Bridge UK Egg Sharing Programme

An active and successful programme which we are expanding in order to increase the opportunities for UK treatment.

A special note about treatment outside the UK

The HFEA has advised patients against booking treatment overseas without the support of a licensed centre in the UK. We believe this to be the right advice. We have a wealth of experience in dealing with centres all over the world and standards vary considerably. After an evaluation of clinics worldwide, where suitable donors are available and the care and the medical facilities meet the high standards we have set, we currently work with three centres in Europe and one in the USA.

Bridge is licensed by the Human Fertilisation & Embryology Authority to perform IVF, microsurgical fertilisations and treatments using donated eggs and sperm and to store genetic material.
