Your Questions

How much will my treatment cost?

The administration fee to join the Bridge Egg Recipient Programme is £275 and you will receive expert advice on specific programme choice. The fee also covers the cost of registering you with the overseas centre of your choice and establishing the necessary communication and information channels. You should then budget £7,000-£12,000 depending on which Egg Recipient programme you choose to join. Please refer to our Schedule of Fees for further details or consult the Egg Donation Team.

What if my known donor is over 36 - can you still offer us treatment?

Yes

How many sessions of counselling are included in my treatment?

Two counselling sessions are included. One is required prior to the commencement of treatment, the other session can be taken any time during treatment,or after, if you so wish.

How long will the treatment take?

This varies on a case-by-case basis, however, from the moment you are allocated a donor, treatment is unlikely to take more than six weeks. During this period of time you will need to visit Bridge approximately three to four times.

Are there any age limitations?

Our current protocols suggest that women over the age of 48 will not automatically be accepted for the UK waiting list. This, however, may vary on a case-to-case basis. No age limitations have been defined for the overseas egg donation programme and we would be pleased to invite you for an initial consultation to discuss the options open for you.

Will I need a visa?

For most patients, visas will not be an issue, irrespective of the treatment location you choose.

However, it is increasingly the case that citizens of certain countries are finding visas increasingly difficult to obtain.

If you believe that you might encounter visa problems our advice is 'do not apply' to encounter difficulties and be 'flagged' by the authorities.

We can assist with visas and details are available from the Egg Donation Team.
